During these times of crisis, several celebrities have stepped up and made contributions in this fight against the virus. Singer Mika Singh's NGO in Mumbai is providing ration to hundreds of people during these tough times.
Two weeks ago, Mika took to social media to share a video in which he is on the streets doing his bit to help the masses. “Hey guys .I’ve been doing charity for over 10 years now.. I know all of you want to do it too. You dont have to think or spend lots of money, just spend Rs 50 and buy 1kg of rice or other staple goods that are cheap like normal biscuits to those in need. Your little time can change lives,” he wrote alongside the video.
Recently there has been a lot of debate on social media about people, especially celebrities doing charity for publicity as they share videos and pics. In an interview with a daily, Mika Singh was asked about his opinion on the matter and he said that even if you are doing charity for publicity, you are at least doing it and that is more than enough. The singer said that this can inspire other people to do the same and ultimately it will help the needy.
The singer has collaborated with TV actress Chahatt Khanna for the song ‘Quarantine Love’ which will be out soon. Singh said that the song earnings from this track will go to the charity.
